Recape of Jackson State trip
The field trip was very fun along with very informational. They gave us a good insight on what it means as well as what it looks like to be a meteorologist. We went through an info in which we were schooled on the background of JSU's meteorologist program and how they are very cultural and community based. From my understanding they help you through college and within the field of meteorology they are able to provide an immediate job straight out of college at the NWS. According to the info session "1/3 of black meteorologists employed by the NWS graduated from JSU." This shows that they are invested in our future and there to support us and insure prosperity.
