In episode 29 Angelo Logan from The Moving Forward Network sits down with Antonique to discuss how they are building power by connecting communities, fighting for solutions led by people at the front-lines, and leading campaigns on both the local and national levels. They also talk with wendy fields from The Democracy Initiative to discuss what Brett Kavanaugh's appointment to the supreme court might mean for voting rights, pro- democracy ballot initiatives in the upcoming election, and the need for us all to focus on civil engagement everyday. Angelo Logan talks with Antonique about cancer alley and what's being done about the problem. They discuss the problem with the city not doing anything about these types of issues and basically leaving these communities to hang. They discuss partnering with different communities s they across state, across the country, and moving forward across the region ;to take action in communities like cancer alley. The Moving Forward Network is a group of 50 organizations, made of community based front-line groups, mainstream environmental organizations, and academic partners. They come together to pull resources to gather information to build a stronger environmental network organically. To prevent new harms and making sure goods are moved properly and facilities are placed properly and while developing green zones.The movement is to make sure communities are in the proper health and it stays that way.

Personally the Network is something new that needed to be established. I think that its wrong for states to like communities hanging like that and there should be plans established to help.The overall meeses of the network is to have states make sure communities are healthy for people to live. It's also refreshing to see a movement during so many different communities together for the benefit of everyone.
