Reckdahl, Katy. 2018. “'Climate change is for real,' and these New Orleans residents are trying to combat it”. The New Orleans Advocate 23 April 2019. https://www.theadvocate.com/new_orleans/news/article_4e3e60d6-c9bf-11e8-8b8d-6b3d207c0d61.html
This article is talks about the experience Jeanna John has after attending a Community Forum on Climate & Equity. This forum talked about the inequalities minoraties and low income communities face during disasters and environmental crises. Due to the fact the they are firstly hit by the disasters therefore it has the worst impact on them. “Colette Pichon Battle of the Gulf Coast Center for Law & Policy… asked that participants agree on one conclusion: “Climate change is for real.” They are aware of the fact that climate change is very much real and its affects it has on our everyday life. They are coming up with ideas as to how they think we can make a good impact on climate change. I learned that there are laws being made that can help us with climate change. I agree that the fact that climate change is real and some people don’t realize it. Some gaps that they had was that there was really no data inside this article but there was still credible facts and they mainly used human experiences. I would improve this article by adding some numbers so that people such a climate demyers don’t ask too many questions. I would suggest this article to everyone so people can understand the problems going on in their city, state, or country.
