The Refugees The
World Barely Pays Attention To by Tom Mc Donnell is about life after a disaster
and moving on from the aftermath of things. They continued to discuss the
effects of climate change on coastal Louisiana and the fast decrease in the
land. In The Refugees The World Barely Pays Attention To by Tim Mc Donnell is
how about the language around people who move from around areas affected by
climate change is more important than actually helping people affected by it.
The process of saving peoples lives has been compromised by governments need to
classify these people first. Helping in the relocation of people affected by
the disaster should be more important than classification but it is not.
I
can relate to both in the sense that at one point I was relocated after Katrina
and in the sense that the government hadn't helped much during that time. I
believe that instead of trying to classify we should figure out who needs the
most help and help those people first. Similar to the Women of Katrina article
I believe the people most affected are women and children. Those people should
be helped first because they are most affected. Living in Louisiana we can
clearly see the effects of the city being below sea level yet nothing has
happened to fix this.
