Episode 1: Inaugural episode- Environmental Justice 101

In Episode 1: Inaugural episode-  Environmental Justice 101, before the show started, there was a song that was talking about climate change and how bad it was. Congressman Mc. Donald Mckeeshman representing Virginia. Sharing experiences and directions happening on capitol hill to help us on how to get engaged in it. What is environmental justice? This is a question that was asked. The answer was very straightforward. Everything dealing with the environment. We need to be in the right relationship with the environments. It can mean good paying jobs. Green economy ready to explode that can be explored when dealing with environmental justice. Spirit and Natural makes people not be climate change deniers. It makes someone care deeper and they want to make up for lost time. Communities on the front line as of framing out the future are playing a role by coming up with their own solutions. Everyone deserves to live a healthy environment. Communities should be more involved in the movement. People don’t believe that black people can be environmentalist. Black folks are most affected by environmental causes. Communities are next to landfills that are causing bad water and bad air. Asphalt jungles. Have to get greenhouse emissions under control. The environment hits so many different levels and it affects the way we live and the work. Jobs are threatened by the sea levels rising. There are a little places you can drill that wouldn't invade with the navy. Still in final accords- keep global temperatures down. No more than 4 degrees celsius and Trump does not care about global warming and he is asking the US to break their promise. We can win on climate environmental change if black people is at the table on the decision making.

I liked this podcast a lot, because It was like a interview that played ou the downsides of environmental justice and the upside of it. It gave everyone in the community a role that they played in the way that our environment is. I would recommend this podcast to people, because I think a lot of people in thne community needs to hear this, especially people of color. We are always seen as we can't be environmentalist. It's seen as a white person's job and that is why we barely see any black people in the movements that happen when people do videos on them. I beleive that people have the ability to be anything they want and the people that get most affected by these problems, should have a voice in the matter because we are the ones catching all of the hell.
