Today our class visited Groundwork Nola inside the Healing Center. We learned how to plant and care for seasonal plants from start to finish. Even when plants are picked we can use the part that we don't eat to reuse as compost to grow more plants. I had a great time learning how everyday things such as paper can be used as compost. I got to plant okra, eggplant, and lavender and maybe someday I’ll go back to see how the plants grew out.
