Week 3
Carbon dioxide is the main thing that humans produce. It can benefit the Earth and harm the Earth in many different ways. Carbon dioxide can benefit plants by helping them grow but it can harm humans and change the weather as far as pollution. Black female activist have really worked hard to make a change in the environment. "Amplifier" was a great example how climate change can be seen as a modern issue. Overall, people of all different races and sexes are coming together to make a change.
I feel as though the comic book aspect of climate change is really relevant because the new generation is really interested in comics. Instead of blogs and newspaper articles, the comic books will draw attention to the public eye. The Peoples Climate March was significant because usually when groups of activist march it becomes violent but this one wasn't. Their voices were actually heard and they made their mark in New York. Overall week 3's readings were interesting and I learned new things .
acidification- the action or process of making or becoming acid. (google)
transparently- allowing light to pass through so that objects ca be seen (google)
ecofeminist- an academic movement that seeks critical connections between nature and women (google)
